Painting Accepted in the Marietta Museum of Art Exhibit

The folks in Marietta, GA have been incredibly supportive of my work from the beginning. Ten years ago I was working as a print buyer for a design studio and decided to submit my work to galleries.

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art‘s annual Montage Exhibit was one of the first juried exhibit to which I tentatively submitted work. That first year I had five pieces excepted in the show. It helped build my confidence in what was then, a new venture – fine arts.

This year one painting has been accepted in the exhibit “Minglers” which exemplifies a transition of recent work towards more abstract figures.

The folks around the square exude an enthusiastic spirit of art patronage. The Montage exhibit is always well attended and offers a broad, interesting range of work.

Exhibit dates are June 20 to September 12. The opening is June 20 from 6-8 p.m..
